3 morning routines for the new year

While everyone is setting goals for the year, we want to take a slow and steady approach. It's been said in studies that if you do anything regularly for up to 90 days, it becomes a habit. 

So here are three things that we do at the niin team that have become habit and part of our everyday well being. We want to share them with you because they're easy to do and will bring you more presence for the year ahead.  



Meditating doesn't have to be complicated or difficult. Create a clear space to sit with a blanket or large towel under you for comfort. Set a timer for 5 minutes. Use the 5 minutes as a time to check in to your body and notice if anything is off before your rush into your day. Next just feel your breath. You can repeat, "Breathing in, I know that I am breathing in. Breathing out, I know that I am breathing out."

To align with your highest of intentions and your best self, meditate with a labradorite, rock quartz or rose quartz crystal. 

Start you morning with a glass of water with lemon. As simple as that. If you want to make it super charged, add some honey and ginger to it using warm water for a morning flush. Getting enough fluids throughout the day means you can drink less at night, and sleep without having to get up in the middle of your sleep cycles. 


Yoga, running, hiking, cycling - pick one. Do one or do them all. It's been proven that even just 30 minutes of moderate exercise everyday can improve your memory, boost your mood and relieve stress.
