Introducing the Yin Collection

Explore a journey in pursuit of balance...
On Thursday 28th October, amongst niin Friends, VIPs, and Hong Kong socialites, we introduced our new Yin Collection and Exhibition at The Cat Street Gallery, Hong Kong.

The Yin Collection explores the journey we take within ourselves in our pursuit of balance and a mindful existence. Stepping-stone motifs and cage cut-outs represent the pathways we travel down throughout our lives and the gateways we step through, always seeking the promise of discovery. These designs cradle the symbols and ideas of ancient Asiatic philosophy, celebrating the beauty of contrast and capturing the delicate equilibrium of nature, body, and spirit.

Inspired by the yin energies of flowing water, the earth, the moon and female chi, traditional jade carved shapes are reimagined with Tiger Kamagong wood, green aventurine, brass, grey penshell and mother of pearl, creating emblems of protection, strength, and courage for a modern world.

Collaborating with The Stalk Room, the Yin Collection was displayed amongst dynamic, natural, modern flora arrangements which celebrated and reflected the idea of balance and personal journey.

Maintaining a strong link to her environmental design ethos, niin Founder & Creative Director, Jeanine Hsu sourced a dark Tiger Kamagong wood otherwise known as “iron wood” as the statement wood for this collection, and has partnered this with a dark green-grey penshell and cracked mother of pearl, creating a strong contrast against the brass and feature stones of green aventurine and jade.

With must-have statement pieces for every modern woman’s wardrobe, the Yin Collection features 18 exciting new elements including niin’s feature clutch, collier necklace, pendant necklaces, earrings, and more.

A massive thanks to our amazing sponsors dragon-i, Raiz the Bar, Thomas Henry, Green Vitamin, Ca'del Bosco, The Stalk Room, Aicher Artisanal Foods, our Media Partners Ecozine and Sassy Hong Kong and a special thanks to our friends at The Cat Street Gallery.
